Salted Kale Chips

Okay, so…Another healthy snack for you all to enjoy! I am kind of obsessed with their crunch and how speedy they are to make! Anyone else think Kale Chips are sold at an extortionate price in juice shops and grocery stores? Because I do and its one of the many reasons I don’t buy them even though I know they are delicious. However, when you make them yourself!! … well thats just a whole different ball game! The only slightly tedious part of this recipe is making sure you have massaged the oil into all parts of the Kale leaves as this means they crisp evenly, so its an important step! But seriously, this recipe is super quick, super easy and you’ll have enough Kale Chips to last a few days (Unless your addicted like me…)

Ingredients
  1. 0.5 bunch of kale - approximately 4-5 leaves
  2. 2 tsp. oil (we used both avocado oil & olive oil)
  3. 1 tsp. salt
  4. 1 tsp. garlic powder
  5. 0.5 tsp. paprika
  6. 0.25 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 300 F
  2. Strip the leaves from the kale stalks (feed the stalks to your puppies, ours love them!)
  3. Rip the leaves into inch sized pieces and put into a bowl
  4. Add the oil and massage the kale leaves so that every piece is covered - but don't add more oil, it is enough!!
  5. Add the seasonings and mix until combined
  6. Lay out onto two baking sheets so they all have a little room
  7. Bake at 300 F for 15 minutes
